The Artifact Vault - Flint, Page 3
# 739: 3 1/4" x 1 1/4" Hmmmm. What to call it? I had one opinion given as a Rice Stemmed, a Woodland point. Definitely authentic, with a needle tip and some pretty nice flaking. This baby sure looks earlier than that to me. It has moderate to heavy stem grinding, like a Hardin or Table Rock would, but it sure "feels" Early Archaic to me. Kind of reminds me of a Kramer possibly. So I don't know, call it what you like. I call it a beautiful, well made piece ! It's probably from Central MO. I bought it at auction in Salisbury, MO. Made from a nice grade of Burlington.      $145 now $120
